Going At It Alone

Masturbation is something that I was brought up to never talk about. My family and community dubbed it a negative connotation and kind of advised us to not talk about it if it was or wasn't happening to us personally. I feel people should be proud to talk about it because I feel it is happening on a more regular basis than one would think. I feel it empowers us to take control over our own bodies and that it shouldn't be something we don't want to discuss. However, I do feel there is a time and place to discuss it and that it isn't something everyone is comfortable discussing. I personally disagree with masturbation myself. Although i know it is happening quite frequently in this world, through my religious beliefs, I feel being in a relationship and sharing that experience with another party means more than going at it alone.
